In the past years Mifal Hapais has been working on developing the "new generation" of interactive games, while at the same time adhering to full disclosure regarding Pais funds and the way they are allocated.
During its 57 years of existence, Mifal Hapais has been working tirelessly for the community, by transferring its profits to local authorities. The funds transferred constitute part of the each local authority's development plans, in accordance with its agenda and order of priorities, and the process is subject to ongoing supervision and control, ensuring maximum transparency and proper use.
Currently, I see three main subjects on which Mifal Hapais should concentrate in the near future:
Increasing aid in the field of education
Today, we are in fact the only body in the country that builds education buildings, and I am proud of this.
Leadership in the field of technology and games
In an age of technological breakthroughs in telecommunication, Mifal Hapais must place itself at the forefront with the latest, safest technology. Our teams are currently working on building an array of interactive games combining the Internet, cellular phones and interactive television. The challenge is to break through commonly held beliefs and convince people that they can safely play on the Internet, win, pay and receive money – all in a secure manner. The key to our success is reliability, information security and strict internal control of our system.
